what is it specifically that you want to know? Not all AGs have the artist mark. None of mine do that I know of.

While cleaning the attic I came across my sister's old Molly.
She was covered in dirt and really gross so I cleaned her up. (Hopefully she will give her to me because I don't think she really wants her anyway, but that is beside the point.)
Here is an album of her mini-makeover and the last 3 pictures are of something strange I noticed...The Pleasant Company logo is really far up. You can barely see it when her hair is pulled back it is so far up. The doll is old and I though maybe they didn't have the artist mark back in the very beginning, but I am not sure.
If anyone knows anything about this PLEASE let me know. She is definitely from Pleasant Company so I know she isn't a fake doll. Any information will be really helpful.

I was unaware that some dolls were produced without them. Every doll that I own that has been produced from '89 to '97 has it. That is why I was confused as to why this Molly did not.
So, you are saying that the oldest dolls do NOT have it? Or do you have newer dolls that do not have it? (Check behind the ear area, my Samantha's is closer to the logo then behind her ear. It is a #e looking thing)

Well in the early days the dolls were put together by hand, including the wig. My guess is, it just got glued lower than most.
My Felcity is mid-90s and has an artist mark behind her ear. I've yet to find any rhyme or reason as to which ones have a mark.
I don't know anything about marks, but great job "rescuing" Molly from the attic!

GreyMyst is right-there's no rhyme or reason as to which ones have the artist mark. Some newer dolls have it too. My girls are all from 87-93 except Kaya and Susanna who is a Gotz. None of them have an artist mark.
I have checked my dolls and all but the ones purchased this year have the strange mark.
